The event of 300 days of moving troops to the North had great historical significance, contributing significantly to the overall success of preparing long-term resistance forces, liberating the South, and unifying the country.

On the afternoon of May 16, Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee coordinated with Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and the Party Committee of Military Region 5 Command to organize a scientific conference "Binh Dinh 300 days, cadres, soldiers, people and students from the South completed the transfer of troops to the North in Quy Nhon".

Attending were Mr. Ngo Dong Hai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission.

This workshop aims to highlight the contributions of cadres, soldiers, people and students in the South in completing the historical mission.

Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Le Kim Toan, Standing Deputy Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee, said that the 300-day event of troop transfer had great historical significance not only for Binh Dinh but also for Zone 5 and the whole country, contributing significantly to the overall success of the task of regrouping and transferring troops to the North, creating a solid foundation for preparing long-term resistance forces, liberating the South, and unifying the country.

According to Mr. Toan, the scientific conference is an opportunity to exchange, discuss, and share information, continuing to affirm the stature and historical significance of the event of 300 days of cadres, soldiers, people and students from the South regrouping to the North; reviewing the glorious journey in the history of the struggle to liberate the South and unify the country, drawing lessons from this historical event to study and creatively apply to the current cause of building, developing and protecting the Fatherland.

"This is also an opportunity for Binh Dinh to introduce to delegates the land and people of Binh Dinh in history and present," said Mr. Toan.

At the scientific conference, delegates had presentations on the role of the Inter-Zone 5 Party Committee in leading the implementation of the 300-day task of completing the troop transfer to the North in Quy Nhon; the significance of the troop transfer and regrouping to the North for cadres, soldiers and people in the South in general and in Binh Dinh province in particular; the contributions of the Party Committee and people of Binh Dinh in the 300 days of completing the troop transfer to the North; the mark of the troop transfer and regrouping in Quy Nhon in the process of the Vietnamese revolution...

On the evening of May 16, at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square, Quy Nhon City, a ceremony was held to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the completion of the transfer of troops to the North by cadres, soldiers, people and students from the South in Quy Nhon ( May 16, 1955 - May 16, 2025). This was followed by an art program with the theme "Going out to keep the unification oath" with the participation of about 250 artists, singers and actors. Including People's Artist Thu Hien, singer Trong Tan, singer Lan Anh and artists and actors from the Traditional Arts Theater of Binh Dinh Province and Quy Nhon City.
