The growing attraction of the 4th Ho Chi Minh City Night Run

This year's night run event celebrates the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025) with the aim of spreading the spirit of sports and healthy lifestyle in the community. The program will promote the beauty of Ho Chi Minh City at night to residents, tourists and the international community. Unique Investment Trading Service Co., Ltd. in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Athletics Federation and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organizes this meaningful night run.

The night run will take place from May 17 to 18, 2025 with 3 main competition distances: 5km, 10km and 21km, expected to attract more than 4,000 domestic and foreign athletes. The running route is designed to take athletes through the city's iconic and heritage locations. The 21km distance will start at 23:55 on May 17, followed by the 10km distance at 00:20 and the 5km at 00:35 on May 18. In addition to the final prize, the Organizing Committee will also award prizes according to many age groups and organize interesting competitions such as couples and team competitions, to create more appeal and encourage wide participation from all subjects.

Not just a simple sporting event, Ho Chi Minh City Night Run Eximbank 2025 continues to be organized as a vibrant night festival for the running community. In addition to the official activities, the event also has accompanying programs such as: "Shake Out Run" - warm-up run before the official competition, talk show series "Together We Run - Together We Share" - where athletes share their training and competition experiences...

Mr. Mai Ba Hung, Standing Member of the Vietnam Olympic Committee, former Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, one of the founders of the tournament, expects: "The 2024 Ho Chi Minh City Night Run is not only a sporting event but also a cultural festival with the highlight being "Saigon Corner", an area serving typical street food imbued with Saigon culture, for athletes after completing the race. Compared to the first time with 1,700 athletes, the second and third times with about 3,000 athletes, the number of more than 4,000 athletes participating in this tournament has shown the growth as well as the scale and quality of the tournament. We will try to maintain it after 5 years and possibly upgrade the organization to include a 42.195km marathon distance".
