The initial cause was due to heavy rain and rising stream water in recent days, causing the rocks and soil to subside, collapsing and breaking the road leading to the bridge.

Immediately after the incident, the People's Committee of Na Hang commune promptly deployed forces to put up warning signs, prohibiting people and vehicles from passing through the bridge. At the same time, it reported and proposed to the Provincial People's Committee a plan to handle and overcome the consequences.
