Suzy replaces Han So Hee's mysterious vampire

Sports Kyunghyang reported on July 30 that Suzy has been chosen to play the female lead in the new drama “Delusion.”

“Delusion” is adapted from a webtoon of the same name, serialized on Naver (Korea) from September 2019 to November 2020.

Set in Gyeongseong (Korea) in 1935 and Shanghai (China) in the 1800s, the film tells the story of mysterious events and the journey of talented artist Yoon Yi Ho - who is assigned to paint a portrait of the beautiful vampire Song Jeong Hwa. Over time, Yi Ho gradually discovers Jeong Hwa's true identity and becomes fascinated by her.

Accordingly, Suzy will take on the role of mysterious vampire Song Jeong Hwa - the role Han So Hee was invited to play in March. At that time, Ryu Jun Yeol was invited to play the male lead. However, after the news of the two stars' dating and quick breakup was posted, they confirmed that they had stopped discussing participating in "Delusion".

The media assessed that this was the right choice, because if Han So Hee and Ryu Jun Yeol continued to accept the role, both would not be able to avoid having to act out intimate, romantic scenes on screen, and would receive a lot of criticism after their previous noisy love affair.

As for Suzy, the actress is receiving a lot of support from the audience. According to Korean newspapers, her charming image and solid acting skills make viewers look forward to how she will portray the mysterious character Song Jeong Hwa on screen.
