Works that won the National Press Award are not eligible to participate in the second National Press Award "For the cause of developing Culture, Sports and Tourism"

On May 22, the Organizing Committee of the second National Press Award "For the cause of developing Culture, Sports and Tourism " - 2024 informed the rules of the award. Accordingly, participating authors are Vietnamese citizens at home and abroad, or authors are foreigners with press works written in Vietnamese in accordance with regulations. Each author or group of authors participating in the Award must have a maximum of 5 works.

The works focus on implementing the 13th National Party Congress Documents into life; realizing the Directives and Resolutions of the Central Committee and Party Committees at all levels; the role and importance of culture in the country's socio -economic development; mechanisms and policies in the fields of culture, family, sports, tourism, etc.

The journalism genres considered for the Award are journalistic works such as reflections, reports, investigations, documentaries, memoirs, talk shows (except live radio and television programs)...

For print newspapers, electronic newspapers, radio, television, and photo newspapers, works published and broadcast from July 1, 2023 to June 15, 2024. The jury will not consider series of articles compiled from independent articles by individual authors, published at different times.

Works that have been awarded in local, ministerial and sectoral competitions are still eligible to participate in the Awards, but must clearly state the award level and information about the agency/unit and the time of the award. Works that have been awarded in the National Press Awards are not eligible to participate in the Awards.

For radio works, each work must be one or a series of radio programs (no more than 5 programs, each program no longer than 90 minutes) on the same topic.

For television works, each work must be one or a series of television programs (no more than 5 programs, each program no more than 90 minutes) on the same topic.

For photojournalism works, photojournalism works include single photos, groups of photos or photo reports presented in color or black and white images. For groups of photos or photo reports, only select each group of photos or photo reports of no more than 10 photos, published in the same issue or at the same time of publication.

The Organizing Committee will award the Collective Prize to 3 press agencies with many participating works and high results.

In addition, the Organizing Committee will award 1 First prize worth 30 million VND, 3 Second prizes worth 20 million VND each; 5 Third prizes worth 15 million VND each; 10 Consolation prizes worth 10 million VND each.

The summary and award ceremony is expected to be held on the occasion of the Cultural Industry's Traditional Day (August 28, 2024).
