- Work: Muk Pajaw (Ba Bong) ordination ceremony
Introduction: In the Cham Brahmin hierarchy, Muk Pajaw (Mrs. Bong) holds an important position. Muk Pajaw, along with other monks, performs rituals such as funerals and kut ceremonies for the community. In the rituals, through sacred dances, Muk Pajaw can communicate with gods and supernatural beings, bestow blessings or punishments, and bring disasters and illnesses to people. When Muk Pajaw does not meet the requirements and needs to be replaced, or the old Muk Pajaw dies, the Cham people elect a new Muk Pajaw. The new Muk Pajaw must be healthy, free of illness, have a husband and children, have a stable family life, and be in harmony with social relationships, and know how to dance and perform rituals. This is a ritual that contains many unique cultural and artistic values. The role of Muk Pajaw with the concept of goddesses and mother worship is very important in the spiritual life of the Cham people.
