The traffic accident occurred at around 2:30 a.m. on October 2, on Dien Bien Phu Street, about 200m from Saigon Bridge, Ward 22, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City.
A 4-seater MG car was traveling from Hang Xanh roundabout to Thu Duc City. When it reached the above section, the car suddenly broke a lamp post, crashed straight into a tree pot and then swerved into the middle of the lane.
The strong impact caused the car to be deformed, the engine block flew into a tree tub and the broken wheel axle lay nearly ten meters away.
The incident left the man and woman injured and trapped in the car. After the accident, authorities assisted in taking the victims to the emergency room.
At the scene, the car was badly damaged, with debris scattered across the road. An electric pole and a tree were broken by the car and lay scattered in the middle of the road.
The cause of the accident is being investigated by authorities.
