On the afternoon of May 27, speaking with VietNamNet reporter, Mr. Nguyen Hong Soa, Head of General Administration Department, Vinh University, said that the school has temporarily suspended Mr. Q. - the male officer accused by a female student of inappropriate behavior and speech.
"This morning, the school had a quick meeting, consulted with the leadership and asked all those involved in the one-stop department to report the incident for verification. Because the students posted one-sided information, the school had to take steps to clarify the matter," said Mr. Soa.
According to a representative of Vinh University, the school has temporarily suspended the male officer and requested a report. "The female student is a first-year psychology student, and the accused is an administrative officer. This male officer has been working at the school since 2009," a representative of Vinh University informed.

Previously, a personal Facebook account posted on the Vinh University Student Group with content denouncing a school official for inappropriate behavior when a female student of K65 came to request notarization of her transcript.
According to the post, when the female student came to notarize her transcript, Mr. Q. assisted with the procedures. However, after finishing, Mr. Q. asked the female student: "I created the opportunity, so what can I give you?". The female student thought the teacher was asking for money, so she said she would send some when she had it. However, Mr. Q. said: "I won't take your money."
Mr. Q. then told the female student to go to the car behind the one-door department. There, he put his arm around her waist, put his arm around her shoulder and asked her, "Are you shaking?"
In the post on the student group, the female student said that at that time she "was so scared that she shook his hand away and left because the teacher had already given her a notarized copy of her transcript." The female student said that her case was not an isolated one, because the teacher had propositioned her very publicly. "I think if I didn't speak up today, many more students would have been propositioned and the incident would have gone too far," the female student wrote.
