According to Giac Ngo Online, the announcement said: "Because the conditions are not yet ripe, the invitation and worship of the relics of Bodhisattva Thich Quang Duc's heart to Vietnam National Temple according to the 2025 United Nations Vesak Festival Project will not take place on the morning of May 3."
The organizers said that as of the afternoon of May 2, 1,088 delegations with nearly 50,000 people had registered to pay homage to the relics of Bodhisattva Thich Quang Duc's heart at Viet Nam Quoc Tu.
On the afternoon of May 3rd alone, the first scheduled opening day for worship had nearly 10,000 people register online and schedule their desired time in groups, including many delegations of over 1,000 people; online registration is still ongoing.
Regarding the organization, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Ho Chi Minh City is the unit designated by the Sangha to carry out the invitation, enshrinement and worship of the Buddha's relics at Thanh Tam Pagoda (Binh Chanh District) and the heart relics of Bodhisattva Thich Quang Duc at Viet Nam Quoc Tu.
These are two official spiritual events under the 2025 United Nations Vesak Festival program and are programs that receive the attention of many monks, nuns, and Buddhists.

Information from the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Ho Chi Minh City said that the time to invite, enshrine and worship the relics of Bodhisattva Thich Quang Duc's heart at Vietnam National Pagoda will be announced when there are new developments.
"Tens of thousands of people have registered to come and pay homage from May 3 to 10. We respectfully ask monks, nuns, Buddhists and compatriots to share in this work," said the announcement from the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Ho Chi Minh City.
On the same morning, the military plane carrying the Buddha's relics from India arrived in Ho Chi Minh City and was invited to be enshrined at Thanh Tam Pagoda. The worship will be open tomorrow morning, May 3, until May 8.
