Being stopped by authorities in Binh Duong for driving under the influence of alcohol, a young man suddenly punched the traffic police officer in the face.
Today (November 8), the Investigation Police Agency of Thuan An City, Binh Duong Province, announced that it has initiated a case and prosecuted Vu Quyet Thang (29 years old, residing in Ho Chi Minh City) to investigate the act of "resisting a person on official duty".
Thang was the one who punched a traffic police officer of Special Patrol Team 171 of Binh Duong Provincial Police in the face while on duty.
According to initial investigation, on the evening of November 5, Special Patrol Team 171 of Binh Duong Provincial Police was on duty on National Highway 13, at Ong Bo Bridge intersection (in Binh Hoa Ward, Thuan An City, Binh Duong Province).
While on duty, the patrol team discovered Thang driving a motorbike in violation of traffic laws, so they signaled him to stop for inspection.
The alcohol test results showed that this young man had a level of 0.837 mg/liter of breath, so a report was drawn up and the car trunk was opened for administrative inspection.
At this time, Thang showed signs of not complying. During the work, the subject suddenly punched a traffic police officer in the face.
Immediately afterwards, the support force immediately controlled and handed Thang over to Thuan An City Police for investigation according to regulations.
