It is estimated that 90% of the coffee husk volume in Bao Loc city is composted with biological yeast by farmers into organic fertilizer, saving 10-15% of fertilizer costs for crops every year.
Along with that, 92% of the by-products from mulberry cultivation and silkworm farming, 30% from vegetables, and a portion of weeds have been processed by Bao Loc farmers to reuse as animal feed, mushroom growing substrate, organic fertilizer, and tree stump compost to keep moisture, contributing to increasing production efficiency.
In addition, in livestock and poultry farming in Bao Loc, over 70% of solid waste such as manure and bedding is also collected and fermented into microorganisms to make fertilizer for production. At the same time, about 60% of wastewater is led into the biogas system to create gas, into biological tanks for treatment to irrigate crops.
