The new principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law has nearly 30 years of working at the school.

On the afternoon of September 21, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son attended and presented the Decision recognizing Dr. Le Truong Son as Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law for the 2020-2025 term.

Previously, on July 14, the Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law for the 2020-2025 term issued Resolution No. 100/NQ-HDT on the unanimous proposal to appoint Dr. Le Truong Son, Vice Rector in charge, to hold the position of Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law for the 2020-2025 term.

On September 14, the Minister of Education and Training signed and issued Decision No. 2679/QD-BGDDT on the recognition of the Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law for the 2020-2025 term. Accordingly, Dr. Le Truong Son, Vice Rector in charge, was recognized as the Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law for the 2020-2025 term.

In his congratulatory speech to the new principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son said: "Law is one of the fieldsof education and training that the Ministry of Education and Training pays special attention to and supports. In recent times, the Ministry of Education and Training has recognized the school's contributions to the country in terms of the quality of training legal staff, as well as policy advice in legislation."

Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son hopes that in the future, the school will continue to make its mark, demonstrating its role as one of the two key schools in legal training in the country, in line with the context of innovation and international integration.

Speaking at the ceremony, the new principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, Dr. Le Truong Son shared: “With the capacity and experience accumulated over nearly 30 years of working with the school, along with the trust and support of comrades in the leadership team, key officials as well as the staff, I feel confident, honored and responsible to be ready to take on and successfully complete the task of principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law for the 2020-2025 term.”

Also at the ceremony, the new principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law said that in the coming time, he will focus on leading key tasks towards the goal of positioning the brand of the leading Law training institution in the Southern region in particular and the key area of the whole country in general.

Dr. Le Truong Son was born in 1971 and graduated with a Bachelor of Law in 1994 from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Law Branch (now Ho Chi Minh City University of Law). Dr. Le Truong Son started working at Ho Chi Minh City University of Law in 1995 and has held many jobs and management positions at the school's units.

From April 2013 to the end of April 2023, Dr. Le Truong Son held the position of Vice Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law. From May 1 to present, Mr. Le Truong Son has been assigned to be in charge of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law.
