Nissan LEAF 2026 - Electric SUV with technology from 897 million VND

Nissan has officially introduced the third-generation All-New Nissan LEAF electric car in the Japanese market, after launching it in the US and Europe.

The third generation Nissan LEAF electric SUV in the Japanese market, after being launched in the US and Europe. A special highlight in this launch is the appearance of the first AUTECH version, with the characteristic Deep Ocean Blue paint color.

Compared to the previous generation, the new generation LEAF has almost the same dimensions with a length of 4,405 mm, a width of 1,810 mm, a height of 1,557 mm and a wheelbase of 2,690 mm. The luggage compartment capacity is 437 liters. The drag coefficient is 0.25, showing improved aerodynamics.

In terms of design, the LEAF changes from hatchback to SUV/crossover style with a design language inspired by the Japanese Katana sword and 3D hologram taillights in the "Digital Zen" style.

The interior of the 2026 Nissan LEAF is equipped with two 12.3-inch screens, a 10-speaker BOSE sound system, 64-color interior lighting, Google Built-in integration and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto support.

The car also has a panoramic sunroof, hidden door handles, an infrared ceiling brightness adjustment system and a series of driving assistance features such as ProPILOT, 3D panoramic camera, smart distance control and wide-angle display at the front of the car.

The car is developed on the CMF-EV platform and manufactured at the Tochigi factory (Japan), and is expected to start delivering cars from early 2026. In terms of performance, the LEAF B7 Long Range version is equipped with a YM52 electric motor with a capacity of 218 horsepower.

With a torque of 355 Nm, the Nissan LEAF 2026 uses a 78 kWh lithium-ion battery, front-wheel drive. This model has a maximum range of 600 km according to NEDC standards and a maximum speed of 160 km/h.

The new generation LEAF supports many different charging standards such as Type 2, CCS Combo (Europe, Thailand), CHAdeMO (Japan) and NACS (USA). The vehicle supports DC fast charging up to 150 kW, charging 10-80% within 35 minutes and has a power supply feature for external devices (V2L) with a capacity of 3.7 kW.

In Japan, the new generation Nissan LEAF has 8 color options for the standard version and 3 exclusive colors for the AUTECH version. The listed price ranges from 5,188,700 to 6,513,100 yen, equivalent to about 897 million to 1.1 billion VND.

Nissan also said it will introduce a LEAF B5 version with a 55 kWh battery and a price of about 3,500,000 yen (596 million VND) in February 2026. At the same time, the Japanese automaker is considering plans to distribute this model in the Thai market and possibly expand to other Southeast Asian countries.
