New Toyota bZ5 - the newly launched low-cost electric SUV

Toyota bZ5 launched in China, priced from 18,000 USD, uses BYD battery, runs 550-630 km, integrates many modern technologies, directly competes with domestic EVs.

The bZ5 has been produced in China since May 16, based on Toyota's e-TNGA platform specifically for electric vehicles. The highlight is not only its attractive price, but also its outstanding performance, modern design and integration of many smart technologies.

The bZ5 offers users a wide range of options. The standard version has a range of 550 km (according to CLTC standards), with an expected price of just under 130,000 yuan (about 18,000 USD).

The higher-end version with L2 autonomous driving support also has a range of 550 km, but is equipped with the Momenta 5.0 driving assistance system with 33 sensors and more than 30 intelligent functions, priced under 160,000 yuan ($22,200). In addition, there is an extended battery version that allows the car to travel up to 630 km per charge

The entire bZ5 series uses BYD's renowned safety Blade battery and a front-mounted electric motor with a capacity of up to 268 horsepower, developed by FinDreams, a subsidiary of BYD.

The interior is designed according to a minimalist, modern philosophy, highlighted by a 15.6-inch floating central screen and an LCD digital dashboard. The car is equipped with a 1.44 m² panoramic sunroof, a 256-color interior LED lighting system...

The car has 4 resting modes, aiming at a relaxing experience for urban users. Safety is also focused on with 9 airbags, combined with advanced driving assistance features such as lane keeping, emergency braking, collision warning, etc.

The highlight of the appearance of the bZ5 is the front of the car inspired by the image of a hammerhead shark, different and unique. The car has a sporty fastback design, hidden door handles and modern LED lights.

The overall dimensions of the Toyota bZ5 electric SUV are 4,780 mm long, 1,866 mm wide, 1,510 mm high, and have a wheelbase of 2,880 mm, promising to provide spacious interior space.
