On the morning of February 6, agencies, representative offices of press agencies and resident reporters working in Phu Yen province coordinated with the Phu Yen Provincial Border Guard Command to organize the program "Spring newspaper gifts to border stations".
Giving Spring newspapers to border stations in Phu Yen province
This is one of the activities to celebrate the Party, celebrate spring and towards the 65th anniversary of Border Guard Traditional Day (March 3, 1959 - March 3, 2024), 35th anniversary of People's Border Guard Day (March 3, 1989 - March 3, 2024).
The program "Spring newspapers donated to border guard stations" has presented more than 10 publications of the Year of the Dragon with a quantity of more than 100 copies from press agencies, including: Nhan Dan Newspaper, Vietnam News Agency , Vietnam Television , People's Police Newspaper, Dan Tri Newspaper, Thanh Nien Newspaper, Nong Thon Ngay Nay Newspaper, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, Ho Chi Minh City Law Newspaper and Tuoi Tre Newspaper. This is the first time that journalists residing in Phu Yen have organized the presentation of spring newspapers to border guard stations. These spring newspapers will be distributed to border guard stations along the coastal line of Phu Yen province for officers and soldiers to read during the Lunar New Year of the Dragon 2024.
Colonel Truong Thien An, Deputy Political Commissar of the Phu Yen Provincial Border Guard Command, said: "This is a very meaningful program that resident journalists have dedicated to border guard officers and soldiers. This year, the books and spring newspapers serving officers and soldiers are richer and more diverse than in previous years. More than 10 spring newspapers presented are also a rich source of documents for border guard stations to have more information to serve the propaganda work of people to comply with the Party's policies and guidelines and the State's laws and policies."
In 2024, towards the 65th anniversary of Border Guard Traditional Day (March 3, 1959 - March 3, 2024), the 35th anniversary of People's Border Guard Day (March 3, 1989 - March 3, 2024), the Phu Yen Provincial Border Guard Command hopes to continue to receive the support of resident journalists in propaganda activities, spreading the image of officers and soldiers close to the people; ready to carry out tasks for the security and sovereignty of the homeland's sea and island borders.
