On the morning of October 25th, Mr. Nguyen Hai Thanh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Xuan Tho commune, Dak Lak province , stated that at 6:15 AM that same day, authorities found the body of the second victim in the incident where two young men were swept away by large waves while swimming in the sea.
The victim whose body was just found is NHT, 17 years old, residing in Trieu Son village, Xuan Tho commune (formerly Xuan Tho 2 commune), Song Cau town, Phu Yen province.
Earlier, local authorities, in coordination with various forces and fishing boats, organized a search for the victim throughout the night.
As reported by Tuoi Tre Online , at 4:55 PM on October 24th, a group of five young men residing in Trieu Son village went swimming in the sea near Hong Duc raft, in An Thanh neighborhood, Xuan Dai ward.
While swimming, two young men, NHT and NHĐ, were unfortunately swept away by the waves and went missing. At 8:30 PM, authorities found Đ.'s body.
Currently, the sea in Xuan Dai Bay is rough with large waves. In addition, because it got dark quickly when the accident occurred, rescue efforts are quite difficult.
