On October 27, at the Egyptian Presidential Palace in Cairo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Nguyen Nam Duong, presented his credentials to President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi.
According to the VNA correspondent in Cairo, at the ceremony of presenting his credentials, President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi extended his greetings to General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, and other Vietnamese leaders.
President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi highly appreciated the achievements that Vietnam has made and expressed confidence that Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong will be a bridge to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries in many fields.
Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong expressed his honor to be assigned the task at such a crucial time, when Vietnam and Egypt have just upgraded their relationship to a Comprehensive Partnership.
The ambassador affirmed that he would make every effort to further strengthen and promote the good friendly cooperative relationship between the two countries.
The credential presentation ceremony took place immediately after President Luong Cuong's very successful state visit to Egypt in early August 2025 at the invitation of President Al-Sisi.
During the visit, the two countries issued a Joint Statement upgrading their relationship to a Comprehensive Partnership, opening up a new framework for deep, substantive cooperation aimed at long-term and comprehensive effectiveness between the two countries in a range of fields such as politics , defense, security, economics, trade, investment, innovation, cultural exchange, etc., for the benefit of the people and the sustainable development of both countries.
