During his visit and working session in Shenzhen City, China from May 25-27, Vietnamese Consul General in Guangzhou Nguyen Viet Dung had a working session with Professor Dao Nhat Dao, Director of the China Center for Special Economic Zone Research (CCSEZR), and representatives of a number of leading enterprises in Shenzhen city, operating in the fields of science and technology, innovation, energy storage, smart urban development, etc.

At the meeting, Professor Dao Nhat Dao sincerely thanked the Consulate General of Vietnam in Guangzhou and Consul General Nguyen Viet Dung personally for actively supporting, coordinating and carefully arranging the activities of the working delegation including researchers from Shenzhen University and a number of leading Shenzhen enterprises led by the Professor to visit Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Da Nang, Hai Phong and Hanoi in April 2025, contributing significantly to the success of the visit.

Professor Dao Nhat Dao expressed his deep impression of Vietnam's strong administrative reforms in recent times, especially the policy of merging provincial-level administrative units to streamline the apparatus and improve the effectiveness of state management.

She highly appreciated the stability of Vietnam's political institutions - the fundamental factor in creating an attractive and safe investment and business environment in the region. At the same time, she expressed her belief that Vietnam is facing a strong opportunity for breakthrough in the upcoming development period.

For his part, Consul General Nguyen Viet Dung emphasized the potential for extensive cooperation between Vietnam and high-tech enterprises in Shenzhen, China's leading innovation center, known as the country's "Silicon Valley".

The Consul General suggested that the two sides promote cooperation in areas such as healthcare (including vaccines, gene therapy, cell therapy), artificial intelligence, big data, robotics, automation, next-generation mobile (5G/6G), energy storage and green technology transfer.

On this occasion, the Consul General also proposed that the CCSEZR Research Center coordinate with the Vietnamese side to organize cultural and artistic exchange activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and the Vietnam-China Humanitarian Exchange Year 2025.

Professor Dao Nhat Dao expressed his high agreement with the proposals of Consul General Nguyen Viet Dung and pledged to actively support the implementation of specific cooperation activities, while expressing the idea of ​​organizing an international forum or international conference on cross-border economic zones in a suitable locality of Vietnam in the near future.

Representatives of Shenzhen enterprises attending the meeting expressed special interest in the Vietnamese market with a population of over 100 million, a dynamically developing economy and deep international integration. Many enterprises affirmed their readiness to expand investment activities, transfer technology and establish strategic cooperation with Vietnamese partners.

The working session opened up practical cooperation prospects, contributing to deepening the friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Guangdong province in general and Shenzhen city in particular, China's dynamic innovation center.

On this occasion, the Consulate General delegation also visited Kingdee International Software Group, one of China's leading enterprise management software corporations, and UBTech, one of the leading technology corporations in the fields of robotics, artificial intelligence (AI) and education based in Shenzhen, China.
