The ASEAN-Australia BRIDGE School Partnership Program is an initiative of the ASEAN-Australia Centre, under the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), and implemented by Asialink Education at the University of Melbourne. The program aims to strengthen connections and develop cooperation between secondary schools in Australia and schools in ASEAN member countries.
This year, the program has connected 18 schools. Each participating school will nominate a representative teacher to participate in online professional training and share with teachers at their school, and coordinate collaborative activities between their school and the partner school as well as visit the partner school and welcome visiting teachers from the partner school. In addition, each school will also select 8 students to participate in online forums and joint projects with students from all other schools.
Since its inception in 2016, nearly 10 Vietnamese schools have participated in the ASEAN - Australia BRIDGE School Partnership Program.
