Strengthening inspection, improving the quality of primary health care and the effectiveness of the two-level government model

On October 28, a working delegation of the Provincial Party Standing Committee led by Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Pham Van Thieu inspected the operation of the medical station and the operation of local government at two levels in Dat Mui commune.

Dat Mui Commune Health Station was established in July 2025 on the basis of merging the Dat Mui Regional General Clinic (old) and Vien An Commune Health Station (old). The headquarters of Dat Mui Commune Health Station is located in the commune center. Currently, the Commune Health Station has 45 functional rooms, 15 staff, including 02 level I specialists.

After its establishment, Dat Mui Commune Health Station quickly stabilized its staff, facilities, and equipment to ensure examination and treatment, providing medical services and health care for the people; on average, each month it receives about 650 people for examination and treatment.

Currently, Dat Mui Commune Health Station still lacks doctors; does not have timely patient transport vehicles; paraclinical equipment does not meet examination and treatment needs; lacks office equipment...

Regarding the operation of the 2-level local government model, Dat Mui commune basically meets the requirements. However, there are still difficulties in funding to support officials and civil servants; the locality needs the province to support the development of a general plan for the commune and land use planning.

Speaking at the working session, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Pham Van Thieu directed: The health sector should review the planning of Dat Mui Commune Health Station to be worthy of serving the people and tourists; review the population scale to plan and upgrade the health station into a hospital; adjust the planning and land use plan for each project; proactively build human resources for the health sector to effectively implement Resolution 72 of the Politburo on a number of breakthrough solutions, strengthen protection, care and improve people's health.

In the long-term vision, Dat Mui commune is the dynamic urban center of the province, will attract businesses and tourists when large projects are put into use, so it is necessary to have a general and comprehensive planning; there must be a plan to implement the Resolution of the Commune Party Congress and contribute to the common goals of the province; implement decentralization, especially the responsibility of the head; pay attention to digital transformation so that people understand and respond with the local government.
