At the conference, delegates listened to reporters present and discuss issues of the border situation and law enforcement work of the Border Guard on the border; the East Sea dispute situation and the Party and State's viewpoints and policies on the East Sea issue.

The conference also focused on the situation of law enforcement in border areas and the implementation of the Vietnam Border Law; the world and regional situation, foreign relations with other countries and the Party and State's policies on sovereignty over sea and land borders; writing skills for reporters and editors on the issue of border protection and the Fatherland in the current situation.
