Musician Nguyen Van Chung added that the journey to bring the song to the public was not easy. “After completing the song, I had difficulty finding a singer who could fully express the spirit of the song. Not everyone was willing to sing in the barracks at midnight, or perform in traditional programs without flashy stage lights. However, when I met singer Duyen Quynh, everything changed,” said musician Nguyen Van Chung.
Not afraid of hardship, singer Duyen Quynh brought the song everywhere from youth cultural houses to remote areas, from regular stages to field performances on oil rigs...
The spread of “Continue the story of peace” is not only in the lyrics but also in the way the song penetrates into community life, especially among the youth. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoi, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, said that this is a vivid demonstration of the power of music . Traditional revolutionary songs, if performed by the right people at the right time, can still have a strong spread. And the song “Continue the story of peace” is such an example.
