Facilitate the transportation of goods across the Vietnam

Attending the conference were Major General Le Xuan The - Commander of Military Region 7. On the side of Tay Ninh province, there were Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Quyet; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Thanh Hai and leaders of departments, branches, sectors and armed forces of the province.

On the Cambodian side, there were Mr. Men Vibol - Chairman of the Cambodian People's Party of Svay Rieng province, concurrently Chairman of the Provincial Council; Mr. Sbong Sarat - Chairman of the Cambodian People's Party of Prey Veng province, concurrently Chairman of the Provincial Council; Mr. Pen Kosal - Chairman of the Cambodian People's Party of Tboung Khmum province, concurrently Governor of the Provincial Administration Board, along with senior leaders and delegations from the three neighboring provinces.

Speaking at the conference, Tay Ninh Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quyet expressed his pleasure to welcome the delegation of the three neighboring provinces to visit and work. He affirmed that the meeting was an important occasion to strengthen the solidarity, friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Tay Ninh and the provinces of Svay Rieng, Prey Veng and Tboung Khmum - localities that have shared borders and have been closely associated with Tay Ninh for many years.

At the same time, the Provincial Party Secretary also hopes to continue to receive closer and more effective coordination from neighboring provinces in the aspects of coordinating border economic development associated with ensuring national defense and security; investing in connecting transport infrastructure, logistics, border gates, border gate economic zones; continuing to exchange experiences in digital transformation and administrative reform; especially strengthening people-to-people diplomacy, tightening the special solidarity and friendship between border provinces.

Also at the conference, Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut quickly informed the conference about the results of the first 9 months of 2025. After the merger of Long An and Tay Ninh provinces, the local administrative apparatus quickly stabilized and operated smoothly; socio-economic development was outstanding in many fields. GRDP in the first 9 months of 2025 reached 9.52%, the highest in the Southeast region and ranked 8th in the country. Investment, trade and tourism all grew strongly; key projects such as Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway, Ring Road 3, Tan Nam International Border Gate are being implemented, creating new development momentum for the border area.

Regarding international cooperation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that Tay Ninh province continues to inherit previous cooperation agreements between Tay Ninh, Long An (old) and 3 Cambodian provinces, and at the same time proposed to review and re-sign new agreements suitable to the current situation. He also proposed to expand cooperation between local authorities on both sides of the border, in order to enhance exchanges, socio-economic development and ensure security and order in the border area. He emphasized that the signing of a memorandum of agreement to facilitate the transportation of goods across the border between the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province and the Administration Board of 3 Cambodian provinces is a concrete and practical step to promote trade, improve cooperation efficiency and strengthen friendship between localities of the two countries.

At the conference, representatives of three Cambodian provinces (Svay Rieng, Tboung Khmum, Prey Veng) also briefly informed about the results of cooperation with Tay Ninh province during the past period. Leaders of the neighboring provinces all expressed great expectations for the opening of new border gates, considering this as a driving force to promote border trade.

In the spirit of solidarity, friendship, cooperation and development, the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province and the Administrative Boards of the three provinces of Svay Rieng, Prey Veng, and Tboung Khmum signed a Memorandum of Agreement on facilitating the transportation of goods across the border, aiming to promote trade, develop the border economy and strengthen the friendly cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia to become increasingly strong and effective.

The meeting took place in an atmosphere of solidarity, sincerity, trust and cooperation. The two sides agreed to continue to coordinate in developing transport infrastructure, upgrading border gates and border economic zones; promoting digital transformation, administrative reform and exchanging experiences in sustainable agricultural and trade development./.
