Create a useful playground for children

To create a useful and safe playground for students during the summer vacation, Phu Yen district has directed specialized agencies to organize cultural, artistic, physical education and sports classes, along with many practical and meaningful activities, meeting the needs of entertainment, health training and promoting the talents and strengths of young people.

Immediately after the end of the 2024-2025 school year, the Phu Yen District Center for Communication and Culture announced the opening of gifted classes for parents to register their children to participate. Ms. Nguyen Thuy Mai, Director of the Center, informed: The target students for summer gifted classes are students from 4 to 15 years old. The Center organizes gifted classes during the summer vacation to create a useful playground for students, limiting the time spent using electronic devices. In addition, it helps children find their passion for sports , culture, and arts to develop their physical and mental strength. The Center arranges schedules for soccer, badminton, taekwondo, swimming, etc., and arranges appropriate coaches for each age group.

Swimming coach An Van Khoa shared: In addition to swimming techniques, I also instruct students on how to handle cramps while swimming; remind them of the difference between swimming during practice and swimming in rivers and streams to avoid drowning accidents; advise them to absolutely not go swimming or playing in streams on days with heavy rain. In addition, I also incorporate some swimming competitions, assess their abilities, and select potential factors to nurture and develop their talents.

Ms. Cam Thi Hong, Ward 6, Quang Huy Town, confided: During the summer vacation, in addition to studying and reviewing knowledge, I registered my two children for swimming and badminton classes, which not only help them have fun, improve their health, and develop more comprehensively. On the other hand, from the summer talent classes, the children have made new friends and become more confident and bold in communication.

During the summer, the district’s youth unions have also organized many activities for local youth. They focus oneducating them on accident and injury prevention skills; organizing swimming lessons and drowning prevention skills; propagating and educating them on revolutionary traditions, the ethics of “When drinking water, remember its source”, “Repaying gratitude” and practicing arts and sports; reviewing cultural knowledge...

Ms. Vi Thi Son, Secretary of the Commune Youth Union, Muong Lang shared: The Commune Youth Union has directed the branches to develop a plan, each meeting has a topic, requires children to work in groups, role play, games, projects and experiences, helping them to both study and practice appropriate skills for themselves.

Phu Yen district focuses on organizing gifted classes and practical activities to help students have a meaningful, safe, and rewarding summer vacation, practice skills, and promote talents for comprehensive development.
