Training for Northern candidates participating in the Women Entrepreneurship Competition 2024

During 2 days, June 21-22, 2024, the Vietnam Women's Union organized a training course to guide the content and methods of building business strategies and models, and building effective project presentations for Startup Projects that passed the preliminary round at the regional level, the Northern region, and the 2024 Women's Startup Competition.

The training program takes place in a combined form of direct and online training for representatives of startup projects, representatives of the Provincial and City Women's Unions; and representatives of coordinating agencies/units.

Opening the training course , Ms. Pham Thi Thanh, Deputy Head of the Department of Supporting Women in Economic Development (Vietnam Women's Union Central Committee), Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the 2024 Women's Startup Competition , introduced to the contestants basic information about the competition. At the same time, she emphasized the purpose of organizing the competition to support women in improving their economic power, after which they can return to help other women entrepreneurs have more motivation to develop their economy.

The training course also had the participation of candidates from previous years returning to support the contestants. The Women's Union at all levels as well as the sectors are making efforts to contribute to the completion of policies to support women in starting and running businesses, joining hands with the development of the country - Ms. Pham Thi Thanh shared more.

Evaluating the entries of the contestants in the regional preliminary round of the 2024 Women's Entrepreneurship Competition, Mr. Pham Duc Nghiem, Deputy Director of the Department of Market Development and Science and Technology Enterprises, Ministry of Science and Technology - lecturer of the training course, said that the quality of this year's entries is more consistent. At the training course, the lecturers and support team will guide the contestants to gain more knowledge and skills and hope that each individual and subject will create connections to share with each other, exchange and learn together.

Attending the training course, Ms. Lo Thi Phuong (Dien Bien province) expressed: "I really want to acquire knowledge about the market, how to build business value and how my products can truly bring value to the business, to society, to the market, and have a positive impact on women."

Pursuant to Plan No. 438/KH-DCT dated January 30, 2024 of the Presidium of the Vietnam Women's Union on organizing the "Women's Creative Startups and Green Transformation" Competition at the Central level in 2024; Decision No. 3932/QD-DCT dated June 7, 2024 of the Organizing Committee of the "Women's Creative Startups and Green Transformation" Competition in 2024 on approving the list of Startup Projects that passed the preliminary round of the Regional level of the "Women's Creative Startups and Green Transformation" Competition in 2024, to improve the capacity to build, develop and complete startup projects for candidates competing in the next rounds, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union organized 3 training courses in 3 regions of the North, Central and South for the competing projects.

The training programs focus on the main contents: Value proposition and market positioning; Building business strategy and model; Guidance on building project descriptions; Branding and communication.
