Training on drowning prevention skills and playground for children in Vinh Chau commune

On June 2, An Giang Provincial Children's House coordinated with Chau Doc City Youth Union and Phan Boi Chau Secondary School to organize a series of activities on drowning prevention skills and a local children's playground. Leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, City Youth Union, Chau Doc City Youth Union; relevant departments and organizations... attended.

Accordingly, 10 poor students overcoming difficulties at Phan Boi Chau Secondary School were awarded study corners (worth 1 million VND/corner), and Vang Anh Kindergarten received a children's playground (including outdoor play equipment, worth 15 million VND).

Students are also taught skills to prevent and combat kidnapping and child abuse. At the same time, they learn about the main causes of drowning, methods of controlling and adjusting breathing, swimming movements, some swimming techniques that can help people who cannot swim escape when falling into water; methods of rescuing and first aid for drowning victims; and popularize swimming at the swimming pool of Phan Boi Chau Secondary School.

At the end of the training session, students are equipped with basic knowledge to protect themselves and help friends in case of an accident.
