Technical staff of the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center both instructed and directly practiced how to compost dairy cow manure with probiotics (biological products), how to make a biogas tank to treat livestock waste, and techniques for raising earthworms with cow manure.
It is known that Duc Trong is a locality with many concentrated dairy farms, providing milk for businesses in and outside the province. The amount of waste from livestock is quite large, used as fertilizer for agricultural production.
However, waste treatment is not up to standard, still dispersing bad odors, affecting the environment. The Provincial Agricultural Extension Center coordinates with the Farmers' Association to guide farmers to treat waste using environmentally friendly methods, cost-saving and scale suitable for households.
It is known that the circular economic model is a closed-cycle production activity, most of the waste and by-products are reused as raw materials to become fertilizer products, the most useful products in livestock farming.
This is one of the priorities of the agricultural sector as well as the Farmers' Association to increase income and reduce environmental pollution.
