Sa Ky - Ly Son train resumes operation, carrying more than 700 Ly Son residents home for Tet

(Baoquangngai.vn)- On the last day before the new year of At Ty 2025, the Port Management Board and the Inland Waterways Port Authority (Department of Transport) plan to organize 6 boat trips to Ly Son Island in time to bring people home for Tet.

At 10:00 a.m. on January 28 (ie December 29), there were 2 trains departing that day carrying nearly 300 passengers from Sa Ky port to Ly Son district. Representatives of the Port Management Board and the Inland Waterways Port Authority (Department of Transport) (Management Board) said that the weather in the Quang Ngai sea area has improved, allowing the Sa Ky - Ly Son route to operate safely.

To serve the travel needs of people and passengers on the Sa Ky - Ly Son route on the last day of the year, the Management Board plans to organize 6 trains to Ly Son Island on January 28. It is expected that more than 700 people will be able to return to their hometown of Ly Son to celebrate Tet with their relatives and family.

During the Lunar New Year, the demand for people traveling on the Sa Ky - Ly Son route and vice versa increases, with an estimated 7,000 passengers expected to travel on the route. The management board has also prepared plans to provide transportation support services on the Sa Ky - Ly Son route and vice versa to ensure civility, courtesy and safety.
