Tay Ninh: Moving plan after Hoa Binh bridge approach road subsides

According to information from the Department of Construction of Tay Ninh province, the collapsed road section is about 30 meters long, with an estimated depth of about 3 meters. The subsidence occurred after many hours of heavy rain from the evening of May 10 to the early morning of May 11.

As soon as the road leading to Hoa Binh bridge collapsed, 3 cars and motorbikes fell into the hole, Tay Ninh authorities implemented solutions to ensure traffic safety, initially determining that 6 people were taken to the hospital, with minor injuries.

Guide people to other directions

Currently, professional units quickly arrived and blocked both ends of the road. Police from Hoa Thanh and Hoa Hoi communes have blocked both ends of the road, preventing vehicles from entering the Hoa Binh bridge area, and have instructed people to go in other directions to assist in investigating the cause and finding solutions to the problem.

In order to ensure smooth traffic, the People's Committee of Chau Thanh district has proposed a traffic diversion plan for people. Accordingly, vehicles traveling from Hoa Hoi commune to Hoa Thanh commune (and vice versa) will move according to the plan: Take DT.781 DH3 DH4 - DT.788 - Border Patrol Road - DH7 (Bien Gioi commune) and vice versa or take DT.781 (Phuoc Tan) - Border Patrol Road DH13 (Hiep Binh) - DH7, take DT.788 (Phuoc Vinh intersection) - District Road 5 - District Road 7.

The implementation time starts from May 11 until the problem of Hoa Binh bridge approach road is fixed (the District People's Committee will have a specific announcement).

Previously, on April 25, Hoa Binh Bridge was inaugurated and put into use. This is the section across Soc Hoa Hoi canal, connecting Hoa Hoi and Hoa Thanh communes, Chau Thanh district with inter-commune roads and the traffic network on the border of the province. The project has a total designed length of 450m, width of 12m, with a total cost of more than 37 billion VND from the provincial and district budgets.

The Hoa Binh Bridge project is invested by the Chau Thanh District Construction Investment Project Management Board and constructed by Vu Hoan Company Limited. The project was handed over and put into use 1.5 months earlier than expected.
