"The pho is so delicious! We want to eat pho all the time!", that is what many children living in Thieng Lieng island hamlet, Thanh An commune, Can Gio district shared after eating free bowls of pho from the center of Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of Children's Day this year.
The program is part of the charity series "10,000 bowls of delicious pho for children" implemented by Pho Phat Tai restaurant with accompanying units, in exchange for the smiles of hundreds of children on the occasion of Children's Day 1.6 this year.
Sharing with Thanh Nien , Mr. Nguyen Van Yen, head of Thieng Lieng hamlet, said that the island has 904 residents with about 130 children under 18 years old.
"There are no pho restaurants on the island, only a few households selling hu tieu. The children here do not always get to eat pho. When I heard that a group was giving free pho to the children on the island, I was very excited and supported them wholeheartedly," Mr. Yen expressed.
Also on this occasion, the journey "10,000 bowls of delicious pho for children" also stopped at Lucky Village (Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City), giving away hundreds of free bowls of pho to the children here.
On the occasion of Children's Day 1.6 this year, 170 bowls of hot beef and chicken pho "crossed the waves" to reach the children in Thieng Lieng island hamlet in a meaningful way.

Before that, from the pho restaurant in the center of District 1, on the "Pho Mobile" car, the group excitedly set off for more than 70 km to Thieng Lieng island hamlet.
Thieng Lieng is an isolated island, the group members stopped at Tam Thon Hiep ferry and moved by motorboat. 2 small motorboats were waiting to transport all the broth and ingredients for cooking pho, utensils and members.
All ingredients including pre-cooked broth, fresh pho noodles, cooked meat, and cooking utensils are carefully prepared in the main kitchen of the pho restaurant. Upon arrival, the chefs can immediately cook quickly and ensure that the pho is still hot, fresh, and tastes like it is eaten at the restaurant.
With the support of local authorities, the delegation organized a special Children's Day for the island's children at the Ngu Hanh Ba Temple.
After eating pho, Bin (9 years old) laughed and said: "The pho here is so delicious! We wish we could eat pho every day." Hearing Bin say that, everyone around laughed, and a small corner of Thieng Lieng Island became more bustling.
Many parents on the island were happy to see their children eating deliciously. Some children even asked for more pho to give to their grandparents and relatives after finishing their meal. For the children, this was a special occasion for Children's Day, June 1st.
