He Temple (Thuy Ninh Commune) was ranked by the state as a national historical and cultural relic in 1990. Since its ranking, He Temple has been restored and embellished many times by the locality to meet the needs of visitors from all over the world. In particular, in 2007, the commune requested the policy and implemented the planning to expand the He Temple relic site with a total area of 4.4 hectares, including the construction of construction items such as a ^5,000m2 parking lot, the construction of the road system and the relic site, the translation house, the ceremonial house, the stadium to serve the needs of entertainment... In addition, to attract visitors from all over the world to the relic, on annual festivals, the locality organizes a variety of activities such as ceremonies, water puppetry, Quan Ho singing, Cheo performances in the communal house yard, and many other sports activities and folk games.

Mr. Do Van Huynh, Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, said: In order to preserve and promote the value of the national historical relic of He Temple, in recent years, the commune has done a good job of socializing to restore and embellish the relic, turning it into a spiritual tourist destination that attracts a large number of visitors from all over the country to offer incense and worship during the festival. Every year, the He Temple Festival is held by the commune from the 10th to the 12th of the third lunar month, attracting from 6,000 to 8,000 visitors to offer incense and worship the relic landscape. The locality is continuing to mobilize funding sources, especially the support of the people and visitors from all over the country to restore and embellish, while expanding and investing in the construction of a number of items in the relic site such as a stadium, a campus to organize sports competitions in a more systematic and professional manner... and worthy of the scale of a national historical and cultural relic.

Along with the He Temple historical and cultural relic, Thai Thuy district has paid attention to the restoration, embellishment and promotion of the value of many relics. According to statistics, the whole district currently has 477 historical and cultural relics that have been initially inventoried, of which 28 relics are ranked at the national level and 94 relics are ranked at the provincial level. In recent years, the work of protecting and promoting the values of cultural heritage in the district has been promoted, folk festivals and folk performances have been gradually restored and promoted, and typical local cultural heritages are being restored and strongly promoted.

Up to now, the district is preserving and maintaining 96 traditional folk festivals such as: Het temple festival (Thai Thuong commune), Diem Dien town swimming festival, especially the festival of Mr. Dung, Mrs. Da with the dance of Mr. Dung, Mrs. Da held on the 14th day of the 4th lunar month every year, which has been granted a certificate of national intangible cultural heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy, Deputy Head of the District Department of Culture and Information: Recognizing the role and importance of preserving and promoting the value of historical and cultural relics, in recent years, the district's Department of Culture and Information has advised the District People's Committee to issue documents regulating the management, preservation and promotion of cultural heritage values in the district. At the same time, directing, organizing propaganda and dissemination of legal regulations on the implementation of regimes, policies, management, restoration, embellishment and promotion of historical and cultural relics and conservation and museum activities in the area.

Currently, the management, protection and promotion of the value of relics are being practically and effectively implemented by sectors and localities. Every year, from the capital source of the national target program on cultural heritage conservation, a number of relics that have been ranked at all levels have been restored and embellished; funding from the province, district and socialized sources has been used to restore and embellish a number of relics. The restoration is carried out seriously, under the management of specialized agencies and in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Cultural Heritage. The relics of the district have been restored and embellished according to their originality and have basically overcome the state of degradation, ensuring long-term safety for the works, meeting the cultural, religious and belief needs of the people. Many relics after being restored have become attractive tourist destinations, attracting visitors, contributing to the local socio-economic development.

To do a good job of preserving and promoting the value of historical and cultural heritages, in the coming time, Thai Thuy district will continue to lead, direct, thoroughly disseminate, and seriously and effectively implement the Party's policies on culture. Further enhance the role of Party committees and authorities at all levels in preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritages. Encourage and support collectives and individuals to participate in protecting relics; increase participation and mobilize social resources to restore and embellish relics; speed up the construction of transport infrastructure, especially regional connecting routes, tourism infrastructure... closely linking tourism development with the preservation and promotion of the values of natural resources, cultural heritages, history and local cultural identity to create momentum for socio-economic development...
