Imbued with the will of coastal people

Continuing the journey in Quang Ngai, Episode 6 of "Haha Family - The days of vast sky" takes the audience deeper into the lives of coastal people. From the drops of sweat on the Sa Huynh salt fields, the folk songs on the rice fields... to the stories of people who are trying to increase the value of their hometown's agricultural products.

In addition to the 5 members Jun Pham, Rhymastic, Bui Cong Nam, Ngoc Thanh Tam, Duy Khanh, the appearance of two guests BB Tran and Bui Lan Huong brings new colors to the journey.

In episode 6, the members and Uncle Diep - who has been working in the salt making industry for 25 years - carry out the next steps in the salt fields. Working directly under the sun, the artists truly understand the hardship behind each grain of salt. While Jun Pham and Bui Cong Nam work hard in the salt fields, the remaining members go to the market to prepare meals for the whole family.

The next morning, the members of "Haha Family" and Uncle Diep traveled by bicycle to the rice fields, creating a simple scene. If in the previous stage, the group only experienced plowing, this time they got to try their hand at transplanting rice seedlings. After the labor session, the whole family returned to prepare lunch. Jun Pham shared that it was at "Haha Family" that he had the opportunity to cook every day with his brothers, enjoying the moments together.

The whole "Haha Family" gathered around a simple meal

During the meal, Uncle Diep's story once again became the highlight. He opened up about his decision to leave the city and return to Sa Huynh to continue his ancestors' traditional salt-making profession. Although salt-making is greatly affected by the weather and the quality of the finished product, Uncle Diep always believes in good things ahead.

A new day has come to the Sa Huynh salt fields, the members of “Haha Family” along with Uncle Diep and Ms. Tham are doing the work of putting salt into bags to deliver to buyers. The Sa Huynh salt making profession, which has a tradition since the 19th century, has been closely associated with and passed down through many generations with a unique manual method, creating the name “salt flower” - a famous product of Sa Huynh. However, salt farmers always have to face the constant worry of harsh weather conditions, leading to unstable productivity and prices.
