From June 4 to 6, 2025, in Yen Bai province, Sala Humanitarian Club coordinated with doctors and nurses of Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, VietCal medical team (USA), Da Nang City Progress Fund and many accompanying units, led by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Manh Khanh, Deputy Director of Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, President of Vietnam Orthopedic Trauma Association, Head of Sala Humanitarian Club, to carry out a series of medical examination and treatment activities; award scholarships, gifts and support teaching equipment for poor students and teachers in mountainous areas of Yen Bai province.
During the 3 days, the doctors examined nearly 60 patients, most of whom were poor, children with congenital disabilities or diseases of the motor system. In particular, the doctors successfully performed more than 10 difficult orthopedic surgeries, including hip and knee replacements and many other complex techniques performed for the first time in Yen Bai . In addition to examinations and humanitarian surgeries, patients were also given gifts and support for travel expenses.

Along with the examination and surgery activities, experts from the United States and Viet Duc Friendship Hospital organized a scientific seminar and exchanged professional expertise with the team of doctors at the grassroots level of Yen Bai province.
Practical sharing and in-depth discussions have opened up new approaches for local healthcare, while creating sustainable connections between domestic and international medical treatment and training units.
Within the framework of the program, the working delegation also traveled to two disadvantaged schools in Van Yen district: Cau Quach village school (Mau Dong commune) and Trung Tam village school (Xuan Ai commune).

Here, Sala Humanitarian Club and the Danang City Progress Fund (Dad RotaryFund) presented each school with a computer classroom with 20 computers with configurations that meet the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training (total support cost of 280 million VND). This is a gift of great significance to students in disadvantaged areas, helping them to access information technology for the first time.
In addition, the delegation also awarded 200 school backpacks sponsored by Ladoda Company, 20 Ngo Van Toan scholarships for poor students who overcome difficulties (each worth 1 million VND) and many essential learning tools.

At the same time, the delegation donated 100m² of rubber flooring to Lung Cung School (belonging to Hoa Hong Kindergarten, Nam Co Commune, Mu Cang Chai District) to improve living conditions for children in the highlands.
On this occasion, the Club also donated many professional documents and medical equipment to the Hospital and the Department of Trauma and Orthopedics for training and treatment.
Sharing about the activities, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Manh Khanh said that the delegation not only brought gifts to the people, but also wanted to leave behind lasting values. These were surgeries that changed the lives of patients, classrooms that opened new horizons for students, and medical connections between Vietnam and international friends.
