On July 5, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment coordinated with relevant units to visit and present gifts to officers and soldiers on duty to protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland at Ne Island (Ngu Loc Commune, Hau Loc).

Also participating in the delegation were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Border Guard Command, a number of provincial departments, branches, and organizations and Hau Loc district. This is a practical activity in response to Vietnam Sea and Islands Week with the theme: "Management and sustainable use of marine space" and World Oceans Day 2024 with the theme: "A deeper understanding of the ocean".
Ne Island has an important strategic position in terms of security and defense of the sea and islands of Thanh Hoa province as well as of Military Region 4.
Within the framework of the program, the delegation listened to the leader of the Ne Island Joint Company (under the Thanh Hoa Provincial Military Command) report on the implementation of work and tasks of the unit and officers and soldiers on the island.
