Warm military-civilian relationship during working trip to Truong Sa and DK1 platform

From April 13 to 19, Delegation No. 9 led by Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Bong, Political Commissar of the Navy, made a meaningful and emotional visit to Truong Sa island district and DK1 platform. The delegation consisted of more than 200 delegates from central agencies, ministries, departments, branches, localities and enterprises across the country. The delegation from Quang Ninh province had 39 members, led by Comrade Vi Ngoc Bich, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

During the journey, the delegation visited the islands: Song Tu Tay, Da Nui Thi, Sinh Ton, Co Lin, Len Dao, Da Tay A, Truong Sa and DK1/19 platform (Que Duong), with a total sea route length of about 1,000 nautical miles.

Delegation No. 9 participated in the flag-raising ceremony at Truong Sa Island.

At the places visited, the delegation organized many meaningful activities such as: participating in the flag-raising ceremony on Truong Sa island; offering incense at the Martyrs' Monument and Uncle Ho's Memorial House in Truong Sa town; organizing a memorial ceremony for heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands in Truong Sa archipelago; visiting and offering incense at cultural and spiritual works on the islands. The delegation also kindly visited and encouraged the officers, soldiers and people in the places visited, presenting practical gifts including equipment such as water purifiers, freezers and necessities, medical supplies, books, etc.

Comrade Vi Ngoc Bich, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Quang Ninh delegation offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands.

In addition, the cultural exchange activities between the working delegation and officers and soldiers on the island not only contribute to improving their spiritual life but also add motivation and strengthen their confidence to stand firm in the face of storms.

During the working trip, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee and armed forces of Quang Ninh province, Comrade Vi Ngoc Bich, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, presented 33 billion VND to the army and people of Truong Sa island district to build 3 community cultural houses on Thuyen Chai island. During the visit to the islands, the Quang Ninh delegation also met, visited and gave gifts to encourage officers and soldiers who are children of Quang Ninh homeland and are working on the islands of Truong Sa archipelago and DK1 Platform.

The working trip is not only a journey to strengthen the solidarity between the army and the people, but also an opportunity for each delegate to better understand political responsibility, foster love for the homeland and sacred pride in the sovereignty of the Fatherland's sea and islands. Truong Sa, DK1 - the place where the waves and winds blow - is forever a symbol of pride, a support for trust, always receiving deep attention and love from the mainland. That is a great source of encouragement, adding spiritual strength for the cadres, soldiers and people here to stand firm on the front line of the Fatherland.
