This is the most "promising" character in the film, loved by the audience, to the point that many viewers after watching the film asked director Victor Vu to develop a separate film about this character. This is also the first time director Victor Vu "indulged" the audience, making a separate project for a supporting character in the film, at the request of the audience.
The first look trailer shows heart-stopping moments through the clever combination of intense sound and unexpected scenes. Each beat of the film moves from dark silence to dramatic moments, taking viewers into a haunting mystery case.
Director Victor Vu has taken full advantage of the beauty of the wild nature to create a world that is both beautiful and haunting. This is also his forte, when creating a mysterious atmosphere amidst the majestic mountain scenery, which is now fully exploited in "Detective Kien: The Headless Case". The panoramic scenes spread across the majestic mountains and forests, combined with the wild jungle, not only highlight the natural beauty but also add a cold, mysterious feature that is characteristic of the horror genre.

The mysterious setting, unexpected twists and fast-paced pace are all balanced to keep the audience feeling the suspense and excitement in each scene. This makes the film a worthy choice for both detective film lovers and the general audience.

Meanwhile, the character Aunt Two This time, not only does she have more “acting space”, but she also carries a complex inner life, immersed in the hidden twists and turns of the story. This makes the connection between her and Detective Kien even more important, as a key part of the case.

The film “Detective Kien: The Headless Case” is also a milestone in director Victor Vu’s 20-year journey in cinema. He shared: “During my 20 years in the profession, I have made many genres of films such as romance, history, and horror. ‘Detective Kien’ combines many elements that are both my interests and strengths, such as horror and detective, as I have been successful with ‘Scandal’ 1 and 2, ‘Bloody Heart’, and ‘Thien Menh Anh Hung’ in the historical setting. I believe in this choice because of the content, the investment in production form, and the reception it has received from the public.”
With the direction of director Victor Vu, along with a professional production team, "Detective Kien: Headless Case" brings expectations of a breakthrough horror and detective work for Vietnamese cinema in 2025. The film is distributed by November, Galaxy Studio, and is expected to be released on May 16 in theaters nationwide.
