A few years later, while repairing electronics for a distant acquaintance, Mr. Tung happened to meet Ms. Ma Thi Hai. She was also a victim of polio since she was 2 years old. One leg was atrophied, making her walk with a limp, but her smile was as full as the sun. The two fates met, became husband and wife, and together built a small home. She opened a hair salon, learned to do nails, and worked hard to earn money to help her husband raise their children. Everyone loved her - a disabled girl full of determination.

Ms. Hai has a job of doing hair and taking care of people's beauty, to her this is a very meaningful job.

Moving out with nothing, the couple's greatest asset was probably their gentle and active son Thien Nhan. Their son was also the purpose of their life to help them escape poverty. However, in 2023, a big storm swept through the small countryside, the house of the couple and their parents collapsed, the family was unable to rebuild their home. Their aunt sympathized and supported the money to rebuild the house, but the house no longer belonged to the family.

I thought I had settled down, but once again, the storm of life made the family suffer when Hai suddenly developed breast cancer. The family, already suffering from many hardships, now had to deal with a serious illness, and all family members lived in constant fear. Mr. Tung shared: “My wife is sick, I am afraid that she will get worse and not survive. My wife and I are both disabled and now have this serious illness. I wish there was a miracle to help us escape this misery.”
