On the afternoon of July 27, the Vietnamese women's sepak takraw team created a historic victory when defeating host Thailand 2-1 in the final match of the 4-a-side event at the world championship held in Central Hatyai. This is the third consecutive time Vietnam has won the championship after 2022 and 2023.

Despite an unfavorable start, losing 12-15 in the first half under pressure from the audience and the excellent performance of Thailand's main striker, Ratsamee Thongsod, coach Tran Thi Vui's students still maintained their composure.
They woke up in the second half, taking advantage of the opportunity after Ratsamee was substituted, breaking away strongly to win 15-8 and take the match into the deciding round.
In the third set, the Thai team started well, leading 5-2. But with their bravery and resilience, the Vietnamese team scored 6 consecutive points, creating a turning point in the match.

Despite the Thai coach's efforts to make substitutions, the game could not be reversed. Wiphada Chitphuan's faulty serve ended the home team's hopes, giving Vietnam a 15-7 victory.
The tournament ended with 5 medals for the Vietnamese Sepak Takraw team (1 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze), continuing to affirm the position of Vietnamese women's Sepak Takraw on the world stage.
