In April, Truong Sa is like a yearning, a burning longing for those who have set foot here. The name Truong Sa has the power to strongly connect the love of Vietnamese people all over the world with their homeland's sea and islands.

Over the years, the organization of working delegations to visit Truong Sa and DK1 Platform has contributed to continuing to affirm Vietnam's sovereignty over the Truong Sa archipelago. This is also an opportunity for overseas Vietnamese from many places in the world to meet, exchange and connect with the people in the country, contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc, affirming that our compatriots always turn to the Fatherland, are closely attached to their roots, and are an inseparable part of the Vietnamese ethnic community.

Coming to Truong Sa and DK1 Platform, people witnessed the changes on the islands and felt the determination of our army and people in protecting the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland; thereby strongly arousing national pride, enhancing patriotism, trust and responsibility of overseas Vietnamese for the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

After each trip to Truong Sa and DK1 Platform, which was first organized in 2012, each overseas Vietnamese became an ambassador to spread the love and flame of Truong Sa to the Vietnamese community and international friends. Many seminars on the East Sea and many photo exhibitions taken by overseas Vietnamese themselves were organized. Many Truong Sa clubs were formed, typically in Germany, Poland, Czech Republic... Many "Funds for sea and island sovereignty" were established, typically in Korea, Singapore...

To date, overseas Vietnamese have contributed about 15 billion VND in cash, solar panels, fresh water filters from the air, high-tech vegetable gardens... to officers, soldiers and people on the island district. In 2022, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the overseas Vietnamese's journey to visit Truong Sa, the Vietnamese community from 26 countries supported Truong Sa with nearly 2.1 billion VND to build a sovereignty boat.

The journeys to Truong Sa of overseas Vietnamese are even more meaningful in the context of strongly implementing Conclusion 12-KL/TW dated August 12, 2021 of the Politburo on the work of overseas Vietnamese in the new situation, which emphasizes the task of "Promoting the strength of great national unity, encouraging and creating conditions for overseas Vietnamese to actively contribute to the cause of national construction and defense".

This activity also contributes to more clearly demonstrating the sentiments and responsibilities of the Party and State in caring for the Vietnamese community abroad.

This April, returning to the gentle and affectionate homeland sea will be a great and meaningful appointment for Vietnamese people far from their homeland. Because, returning to Truong Sa means returning home, returning to the "heart" of the homeland!
