Thanh Hoa: Nearly 49 thousand martyrs' information updated on the National Population Database system

According to statistics, Thanh Hoa province has 55,000 martyrs. Of these, 11,000 martyrs have had their graves identified, while 37,000 martyrs have had their graves unidentified. With the application of digital transformation, many technological solutions from Project 06 have been and are being deployed to support the long journey of searching for martyrs' remains, identifying their identities, and bringing them back to their homeland.

According to information from Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, up to now, the whole province has updated the information of relatives receiving benefits of 48,748 cases (100%); information of martyrs of 48,376 cases (99.2%); reviewed 100% of relatives of 37,431 unidentified martyrs; updated the information of 35,717 cases (95.3%) on the National Population Database.

Previously, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province issued a Plan to conduct a survey of information on martyrs' graves and collect DNA samples for relatives of unidentified martyrs in the province.

Agencies, units and localities, according to their functions and tasks, have focused on promoting information, propaganda and dissemination of the Party and State's guidelines and policies; reviewing data on the remains of unidentified martyrs and the personal information of families whose remains have not been identified; reviewing and cleaning up personal information on martyrs and creating a data warehouse on the National Population Database.

At the same time, the provincial functional units coordinated to organize the work of receiving the list of relatives; reviewing and verifying information about the martyrs' families and collecting, updating and adjusting if missing or incorrect; updating the population data system according to the category of "martyrs' relatives", ensuring accurate information, on schedule and having a plan to handle cases of incorrect information according to regulations.

This is the first step in preparation for the journey of searching for and identifying the remains of martyrs using empirical methods, soon "finding names for martyrs" to show gratitude, contributing to alleviating the losses and sacrifices of relatives; at the same time, demonstrating the viewpoints, guidelines, and policies of the Party and State to always care for, care for, and carry out well the work of gratitude and repayment.
