Creatively applying the contents of Directive 05 into practice

During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh paid great attention to setting an example. His simple and pure life was always a model of exemplary morality, self-awareness in setting an example, and matching words with actions. President Ho Chi Minh once affirmed: "A living example is worth more than a hundred propaganda speeches" and "Taking the example of good people and good deeds toeducate each other every day is one of the best ways to build the Party, build revolutionary organizations, build new people, and a new life". These teachings not only expressed his views on the importance of setting an example, but also served as a "compass" for every cadre, party member, and people in cultivating, training, and spreading good values ​​in society.

Imbued with Uncle Ho's teachings, and closely following the Directive Plans of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union and the Hanoi Party Committee, over the past 10 years, all levels of the Hanoi Women's Union have proactively and effectively implemented Directive No. 05-CT/TW and Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW in line with the functions, tasks and characteristics of the organization. In directing, the Hanoi Women's Union has seriously grasped and studied the full-term and annual topics associated with the propaganda of the implementation of Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (term XII), the Party's Regulations on exemplary responsibility, 02 Codes of Conduct of the City, Campaigns, emulation movements, working projects and key tasks of the Union. Propaganda work is conveyed by the Women's Union at all levels to cadres and women's members through many rich and diverse forms, both widely and deeply, helping cadres and women's members to more deeply perceive the purpose, meaning and importance of Uncle Ho's ideology, morality and example, thereby voluntarily cultivating and training.

Specifically, every year, the Hanoi Women's Union has seriously organized to disseminate the content of the annual topic implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW, Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW to over 20,000 female cadres and members, ensuring progress, quality, and meeting the set goals and requirements. Through the process of researching, studying, and disseminating the Directive, female cadres and members have grasped the requirements and have a deeper understanding of the core contents of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style, and have made positive changes in studying and following Uncle Ho.

At the same time, the Women's Unions of districts, towns and localities in the city organized 5,912 training sessions, disseminated, propagated and deployed the study and follow of Uncle Ho for more than 886,002 female cadres and members. Many practical activities and diverse forms were organized from the grassroots level such as: Reporting achievements to Uncle Ho; Seminars to improve the effectiveness of the model of following Uncle Ho's example; Art exchange; Storytelling contest and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh...

At the same time, continue to direct the maintenance of models following Ho Chi Minh's moral example at the grassroots level to ensure practicality, effectiveness, and suitability for each group of women. The focus is on practicing thrift, promoting the spirit of volunteering for the community, actively participating in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas, attracting a large number of cadres and women's union members to participate, promoting creativity to contribute to promoting the socio-economic development of the capital.

Typical examples include the Savings Model following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh, which contributes to forming the habit of saving among cadres and women members, supporting the improvement of the quality of family life. Or the Civilized Association Model implementing Directive 11-CT/TU of the Hanoi Party Committee; the Women participating in environmental protection model; the Women practicing sports to improve health model;... Each model is a vivid demonstration of the spirit of learning and following Uncle Ho, which is flexibly and creatively applied by the Association at all levels, suitable to the practical conditions in each locality.

It can be seen that through the effective implementation of Directive No. 05-CT/TW, studying and following Uncle Ho has become systematic and profound, creating a clear change in the awareness and actions of cadres and women's union members. In particular, the results achieved do not only stop at changes in awareness and actions but are also clearly demonstrated through telling numbers, demonstrating the strong influence of studying and following Uncle Ho.

Over the past 10 years, overcoming many difficulties, especially the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the impact of natural disasters, storms and floods... Many models, good practices, and beautiful actions of women in the capital have been persistently and enthusiastically implemented, contributing to spreading love for humanity, kindness, sharing, and action for the community, women, and children as well as contributing to spreading ethical values ​​and healthy lifestyles in the community.

In particular, thanks to the models: "Charity rice jar", "Raising economical plastic pigs", "Golden Week", "Love grocery store", "Charity porridge pot", "Charity class"... The Capital Women's Union at all levels has saved over 50 billion VND, deducting 20.075 billion VND; 212,699 kg of rice, 6,210 savings books, donated 1,062 bicycles, helped 73,989 women and children in difficult circumstances; supported the construction and repair of 1,377 charity houses worth over 55 billion VND.

These impressive figures not only reflect the effectiveness of the models and methods in the most specific way, but also show that the spirit of learning and following Uncle Ho has truly permeated the awareness, actions and become the daily lifestyle of cadres and women's union members. A clear demonstration of such widespread spread is that there have been more than 1,700 typical examples, nearly 1,300 articles about "good people, good deeds" and nearly 3,000 typical collectives and individuals being commended and honored at all levels through emulation movements.

Recently, at the Conference to honor typical women in the capital following Uncle Ho's teachings, period 2016 - 2025, 20 collectives, 17 individuals representing 32 collectives, 33 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing Directive 05-CT/TW were awarded certificates of merit by the Hanoi Women's Union. The collectives and individuals honored this time are all pioneers in innovation and creativity, typical examples in spreading widely the study and following of Uncle Ho through specific actions, practical work closely related to daily life. In other words, women are the colorful and fragrant flowers in the garden of good people and good deeds of the capital Hanoi.

In order to bring the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style into depth, practicality and effectiveness, in the coming period, the Hanoi Women's Union will continue to direct all levels of the Union to carry out annual research and study of thematic topics associated with training the ethical standards and working style of full-time Union officials according to Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. Promote the exemplary role of key leaders and heads of Women's Union organizations at all levels. Improve the quality and replicate models, projects and work following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style associated with the tasks of economic development and ensuring social security.
