Thanh Hoa: Over 2.2 billion VND to support the construction of "Union Shelter", giving gifts to union members in difficult circumstances

More than 2.2 billion VND is the total amount of money that Thanh Hoa Trade Union visited, encouraged and supported hundreds of disadvantaged workers in Thanh Hoa province to welcome the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union.

Accordingly, from November 17 to November 26, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor established 4 working groups to visit and provide support to "Union Shelter" houses and gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances in the area.

The total amount of more than 2.2 billion VND will be given by the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation to build "Union Shelters" for 26 union members with housing difficulties; and gifts will be given to 431 union members who are sick, have serious illnesses, or have sequelae in 27 districts, towns, and cities in the province.

On November 20, the working delegation of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor visited and presented gifts to union members and workers in the districts of Hau Loc; Ngoc Lac; Thieu Hoa; Tho Xuan; Sam Son City; Nghi Son Economic Zone Trade Union and Industrial Parks of Thanh Hoa Province; Industry and Trade Trade Union and Provincial Civil Servants Trade Union.

At the Industry and Trade Union, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation presented 2 "Union Shelters" with a total amount of 90 million VND and presented gifts to 4 union members who were sick, had serious illnesses, or had sequelae with a total amount of 12 million VND.

In Sam Son City, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor presented gifts to 22 sick union members, those with serious illnesses and sequelae, with a total amount of 57 million VND.

At the Thanh Hoa Provincial Civil Servants' Union, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation awarded support money to build a "Union Shelter" house for 1 union member with the amount of 30 million VND.

At the Nghi Son Economic Zone Trade Union and Industrial Parks of Thanh Hoa province, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation presented 243 gifts to union members who were sick, had serious illnesses, or suffered from sequelae with a total amount of 619 million VND.

In Hau Loc district, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation awarded 40 million VND to support the construction of a "Union Shelter" for 1 union member and 84 million VND to 31 sick union members with serious illnesses and sequelae.

In Tho Xuan district, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor awarded 45 million VND to support the construction of a "Union Shelter" for 1 union member and 52 million VND to 18 sick union members with serious illnesses and sequelae.

In Ngoc Lac district, Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation presented 2 "Union Shelters" with a total amount of 65 million VND and 17 union members who were sick, had serious illnesses, and had sequelae with a total amount of 51 million VND.

In Thieu Hoa district, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor awarded 40 million VND to support the construction of a "Union Shelter" for 1 union member and 92 million VND to 38 sick union members with serious illnesses and sequelae.

Ms. Trinh Thi Hoa, Permanent Vice President of Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor said: “This is a meaningful and practical activity to care for union members and workers towards the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union. These meaningful activities and actions aim to promptly care for and encourage union members and workers facing difficulties, illness and disease. Thereby, helping workers to reduce hardship, feel secure in production, improve the quality of life and contribute to the successful completion of the province's socio-economic development goals."
