The central streets of Tran Hung Dao, Chi Lang, Cu Chinh Lan, Thinh Lang Avenue... are filled with red flags with yellow stars, banners, and slogans celebrating the anniversary of Southern Liberation Day and national reunification.
Since early morning on the great national holiday, many people inside and outside Hoa Binh province have come to offer incense and flowers at the Uncle Ho Monument on the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant, expressing their respect to Uncle Ho "on the joyful day of great victory".
Mrs. Bui Thi Hue, born in 1950 in Luong Son town (Luong Son) came early in the morning to offer flowers and incense at the Uncle Ho Monument. Mrs. Hue emotionally shared: Although I am old, but with the meaning of the April 30 anniversary, I came with my family to burn incense and remember Uncle Ho. On this important historical day, I wish for the people of Hoa Binh province in particular and the people of the whole country in general to have a better and better life. The country will develop more and more.
On the morning of April 30, many people, especially young people, came to have fun at Hoa Binh Square. Especially in many families, or entertainment spots in the city, many people gathered to watch the live broadcast of the parade, the parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, the reunification of the country from the city named after Uncle Ho.
The celebration and parade began at 6:30 a.m. The event was broadcast live on Vietnam Television and local stations, attracting the attention of people across the country.
Trinh Thi Thu Hang, Thinh Lang Ward (Hoa Binh City) shared: "Watching the live broadcast of the Anniversary and through historical documents about the blood sacrifice of our ancestors to liberate the South and unify the country, I feel very lucky to live in peace. The spirit of determination to fight and win on April 30 will forever live with the nation. The younger generation will always remember, be grateful, and show gratitude for the dedication and sacrifice of the previous generation.
At his home, Mr. Bui Trong Dat, Phuong Lam ward, emotionally said: "I was born and raised during wartime, witnessing the country divided and in chaos. Every year when the anniversary of April 30 comes, I cannot hold back my tears when thinking about the sacrifices of many generations for the country to have today."
