Yen Bai City will reclaim over 32 hectares of land to serve the construction of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway.

The Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway, the section passing through 2 communes and wards of Yen Bai city, including Hop Minh ward and Au Lau commune, is 6.7 km long; the total area recovered according to the land clearance boundary is 32.51 hectares. Of which: Hop Minh ward 17.48 hectares, Au Lau commune 15.03 hectares. Yen Bai city built 2 resettlement areas (Au Lau commune: 1 area, Hop Minh ward: 1 area) with a total recovered area of 7.4 hectares to accommodate 65 households whose residential land and houses were recovered.

To implement the land acquisition work, Yen Bai City People's Committee has issued a document implementing a number of contents serving the land acquisition work of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway construction investment project in the area. Conducting review and adjustment of land fluctuations; organizing meetings with people with land in the recovered area to disseminate the purpose, meaning and importance of the Project and contents related to the work of surveying and mapping...

At the same time, establish a Resettlement Compensation and Support Council to carry out the Project's resettlement compensation and support work, establish specialized teams to conduct field inventory, develop compensation and support plans; notify and conduct video recording of the current status of the land before approving the land acquisition plan and conducting surveys.

The city sets a target of completing the inventory and counting in June 2025; completing the site clearance work in August 2025, ensuring the project starts construction in December 2025 as directed by the Prime Minister .
