After many years of efforts, in 2016, Thanh Phu commune completed 19/19 criteria of the national target program on new rural construction. Continuing to build advanced new rural areas, in the period of 2016-2024, Thanh Phu invested more than 122 billion VND, of which people contributed more than 12.3 billion VND. After nearly 9 years of efforts, Thanh Phu commune has completed the criteria for building advanced new rural areas with synchronous investment in traffic infrastructure, electricity, schools, health care , culture...
Up to now, 100% of households have safe electricity, 86% of roads have lighting systems, 97% of households have solid houses that meet standards, and all schools meet national standards. In particular, the cultural and spiritual life of the people has been constantly improved, the poverty rate has decreased to 0.1%, and the average income per capita has increased to nearly 85 million VND/year. Movements to build cultural life and model residential areas have been effectively implemented, receiving high consensus among the people. The Party Committee, government and people of Thanh Phu commune will continue to unite, promote the consolidation and construction of advanced new rural criteria, towards the goal of a model new rural area.
On this occasion, many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the movement to build advanced new rural areas were commended by the People's Committee of the province, Binh Long town and Thanh Phu commune.
