(Dan Tri) - Tran Bich Ngoc - a 12th grade Math student at Tuyen Quang Province's Specialized High School - has just achieved excellent results in the national excellent student exam. Ngoc is also a member of the Street Crew dance group.
"Studying a lot does not necessarily mean you will be good" In the 2023-2024 National Excellent Student Exam, Tran Bich Ngoc, a female student majoring in Mathematics at Tuyen Quang Specialized High School, won second prize for her province's biology team. Ngoc also achieved the highest score in the province, becoming one of 32 candidates nationwide to be called to participate in the International Biology Olympiad selection exam.

Tran Bich Ngoc has pursued mathematics since childhood. Therefore, when she switched to biology in the middle of grade 10, Ngoc encountered difficulties. Ngoc confessed that there were times when she felt discouraged because mathematics and biology were so different, mathematics was concise and concise while biology was "endless". However, the enthusiasm of the teachers in supporting and supplementing Ngoc's knowledge so that she could keep up with the biology majors in the team gave Ngoc the motivation and inspiration to overcome the difficult early days. "When I overcame it, the more I studied, the more I loved it, the more I studied, the more I found the vast knowledge attractive. What's more interesting is that there is a lot of biological knowledge that can be applied immediately in practice. For example, when learning about viruses and bacteria, I learned which cases of fever should use antibiotics and which cases using antibiotics is ineffective. Biology is therefore very close to me," Ngoc enthusiastically talked about the subject she is currently studying. Talking about effective learning methods to achieve high results, Tran Bich Ngoc said that she does not study much because "studying a lot does not necessarily mean you will be good". Ngoc chooses a scientific way of studying. With the system of knowledge that needs to be reviewed, Ngoc makes a plan, divides each part into stages, and then arranges a reasonable study schedule. In addition to the knowledge taught by teachers, Ngoc finds more books or goes online to read related documents in English from open library sources, updates new knowledge, and new experiments from experts and researchers. She also spends time practicing many types of exercises to find the best and most "beautiful" way to solve them. Ngoc's coherent and strategic way of studying has helped her gradually achieve remarkable results.

In grade 11, Ngoc took the national excellent student exam and won the Encouragement Prize. In grade 12, she won the Silver Medal at Hung Vuong Summer Camp, the Bronze Medal at the competition for excellent students of specialized schools in the Coastal and Northern Delta regions, the Silver Medal at the Natural Science Olympiad... With the second prize in the national biology competition this year, Ngoc is the only student from Tuyen Quang province to make it to round 2. Currently, Ngoc is being trained by teachers so that she can achieve her goal of being on the international biology Olympic team, representing Vietnam to compete with friends from all over the world. Parents encourage her to go out dancing with friends Although she is a math major, Tran Bich Ngoc has artistic talent and loves social and volunteer activities. With a height of 1.75m, attractive appearance, and confident communication skills, Ngoc is trusted by teachers to be the MC for major events of the school, union, and team. In particular, Ngoc has loved dancing since she was a child. She taught herself to dance through YouTube clips. In 10th grade, Ngoc joined the Street Crew dance group - one of the most successful underground dance groups in Tuyen Quang. Ngoc regularly performed and competed with the group, winning many big and small awards.

Ngoc shared that her parents are very supportive of her participation in artistic activities. "My parents are always afraid that I will study too much at home, so they often encourage me to go dancing with my friends," Ngoc said. Being a semi-professional dancer does not affect Ngoc's studies. On the contrary, thanks to dancing, Ngoc studies more effectively.

"Studying and reviewing is very hard work, requiring good health and good spirit. Dancing helps me have moments of true relaxation, a clearer mind, more alertness, a healthy, flexible and energetic body, more inspiration and concentration in studying. I think that any physical activity will have the same effect as long as people love it. Studying biology, I believe that studying is most effective when combined with physical training," Ngoc shared. Ngoc's future dream is to become a good doctor. And dancing has become a part of who she is.
