In front of a huge crowd at Veltins Arena, coach Hansi Flick and his team let Colombia win 2-0 in a friendly match that ended in the early morning of June 21. This was the 4th consecutive match that coach Hansi Flick and his team did not win.
After much criticism for experimenting with a 3-4-2-1 formation, Germany returned to their familiar 4-3-3. They controlled the ball better but the final result disappointed fans.

In the first 45 minutes, Germany only had one shot on target from Ilkay Gundogan. Colombia had 4 scoring opportunities but could not beat Ter Stegen's talent and lacked luck. The boos from German fans gradually began to appear from the end of the first half when the German strikers did not create any dangerous situations.
Colombia opened the scoring early in the second half from a cross by Juan Cuadrado, with Luis Diaz jumping high to head the ball home. With the home team struggling, Flick quickly refreshed his attack by bringing in Niclas Fullkrug, Joshua Kimmich and Julian Brandt.

However, these adjustments did not work as Germany continued to concede a second goal. Kimmich let the ball hit his hand from Deiver Machado's cross. On the 11m mark, Cuadrado fooled Ter Stegen to seal a 2-0 victory for Colombia. The defeat to Colombia was also the third loss in the last four matches for the German team.
In the friendly match between Brazil and Senegal, the South American team entered the match with enthusiasm and confidence when they scored the opening goal in the 11th minute. It seemed that the goal would help Brazil gain an advantage to bring home a victory, but Senegal, with the class of the reigning African champions, rose up strongly and forced Brazil back into their own half.
By the 22nd minute, the African team equalized 1-1 before the end of the first 45 minutes.

After the break, Brazil's defense made continuous defensive mistakes and let the net shake twice in a row from the 54th to the 56th minute with an own goal by Marquinhos and a goal by Saudi Mane. Trailing 3-1, Brazil quickly rose up and narrowed the gap to 2-3 in the 59th minute with a goal from Marquinhos to atone for his mistakes.
That was also what Brazil could do before Senegal sealed the score at 4-2 in the last minute of injury time thanks to Mane's penalty. Winning 4-2 against Brazil, Senegal won for the first time against the "Samba dancers".
However, Brazil will not have Neymar in this match while veteran midfielder Casemiro is not used.
