Depending on geographical area and weather conditions, people in different countries can see the Supermoon on the evening of October 6-7 local time.
According to the latest astronomical forecast, the Supermoon appeared earlier this week when the Moon passed about 361,000 km from Earth.
In clear weather conditions, the Supermoon can be seen with the naked eye anywhere in the world without special equipment. However, for those who rarely look at the moon, it will be difficult to see the difference.
This will be the first of three Supermoons in 2025. The next two are expected in November and December.
According to NASA, a supermoon occurs when the full moon is closer to Earth in its orbit. The moon will appear about 14% larger and 30% brighter than the dimmest moon of the year.
In 2026, another lunar astronomical event that will attract attention is a lunar eclipse.
People in North America, Asia and Oceania can observe a total lunar eclipse in March, while a partial lunar eclipse in August will appear in the Americas, Africa and Europe./.
