Expressing patriotism through cuisine

There are countless ways to express love for the Fatherland, but at Luu.sweety, a small bakery and coffee shop located at 63 Phan Chau Trinh (Hai Chau Ward, Hai Chau District), patriotism is breathed into each cake, glass of water and the space is brilliant with red and yellow stars. Amidst the modern pace of life, this place has become an emotional touchpoint, where national pride is spread in a close, gentle but strangely profound way.

Coming to Luu.sweety during the historic days of April, people are easily attracted by the space filled with the colors of the national flag. From the row of red flags with yellow stars fluttering in front of the shop, to the cakes and drinks meticulously decorated with the image of the Vietnamese flag, creating a "patriotic corner", attracting many people to check-in and experience. Every detail in the shop or each dish on the menu conveys a meaningful message. Ms. Luu Thi Tuyet Nhi, owner of Luu.sweety, shared that the idea of decorating the shop in the style of "historical memories" and creating cakes and drinks with the image of the Vietnamese flag contributes to reminding and spreading the spirit of national pride in the most intimate and lovely way.

From that thought, Ms. Nhi and her team started to create a collection of Vietnamese-style cakes including: La Co salt coffee, La Co matcha macchiato, Vietnamese Pain au Choco cake, Vietnamese cheese biscuits... Each dish is the crystallization of weeks of formula research, color coordination, and testing to not only achieve deliciousness and beauty but also to be true to the "Vietnamese spirit". Thanks to that, the product is well received and spread strongly. Many customers visit the shop, not only to enjoy delicious food but also to take photos, share emotions, and spread the spirit of patriotism in a very unique way.

“Some young people told me that for the first time, they felt that history was no longer dry, but present through very ordinary things: a cake, a glass of water, a corner of decor full of Vietnamese spirit. Sometimes just looking at the red flag with a yellow star on a small, pretty cake is enough to make their hearts flutter with pride,” Nhi said. Currently, Luu.sweety is open from 7am to 11pm every day. The prices of items in the patriotic collection range from 19,000-59,000 VND/item, so that everyone can touch the Vietnamese spirit in the most intimate, gentle and profound way.
