3 more banks reduce deposit interest rates, which term has the highest interest rate?

Saigon Bank for Industry and Trade (Saigonbank) has just reduced its deposit interest rates for the second time since the beginning of the month.

Accordingly, Saigonbank reduced 0.2 percentage points of interest rates for deposits with terms from 1 to 11 months and reduced 0.3 percentage points for deposits with terms from 12 to 36 months.

Currently, the online mobilization interest rate for a 1-month term is 4.3%/year, and for a 2-5 month term it is 4.4%/year. Interest rates for terms from 6-11 months are all at 6.4%. Terms from 12 months and above are 6.6%/year, except for the 13-month term which is at the highest level of 7.1%/year.

Vietnam International Commercial Joint Stock Bank ( VIB ) continues to adjust deposit interest rates down from today. This is the third time VIB has reduced deposit interest rates.

In this adjustment, VIB reduced the interest rate by 0.2 percentage points for deposit terms from 6 to 36 months. Currently, the online mobilization interest rate for terms from 6 to 11 months is only 6.1%/year for deposits under 300 million VND and 6.2%/year for deposits from 300 million VND or more.

VIB does not announce the interest rate for 12-month deposits. Meanwhile, the interest rate for 15-36-month deposits is only 6.4%/year for deposits under 300 million VND and 6.5%/year for deposits from 300 million VND or more.

Vietnam Export Import Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Eximbank) also reduced interest rates for deposits with terms from 6 to 36 months from today.

Eximbank slightly reduced by 0.1 percentage points for terms from 6 to 36 months, from 6%/year to only 5.9%/year for VND deposits for individuals to receive interest at the end of the term. If customers choose to receive interest at the beginning of the term, the interest rate is only 5.7%/year. The above interest rates are applied to terms from 6 to 36 months.

According to statistics from the beginning of August until now, banks that have reduced deposit interest rates include: TPBank, ACB, Eximbank, Techcombank, NCB, VietBank, ABBank, OceanBank, HDBank, Sacombank, VIB, VPBank, MSB, BacA Bank, Saigonbank, CBBank, VietA Bank, SHB , OCB, BaoViet Bank, BVBank, GPBank, MB, SeABank, VietA Bank.

Of which, Sacombank, BacA Bank, Saigonbank have reduced interest rates twice since the beginning of August. NCB, Techcombank, VietBank, VIB have reduced interest rates three times since the beginning of the month, while ACB and Eximbank have reduced interest rates four times.
